All physicians who have passed part one of the ABEM or AOBEM board exams and are preparing to take part two, the oral exam, should enroll in this course.

Location:

This course will be held at the Hampton Inn Tropicana in Las Vegas, NV which offers complimentary airport shuttle service and parking. A limited number of standard sleeping rooms have been reserved at the discounted rate of $114 plus applicable taxes. Individual reservations can be made by calling 877-584-6835 or direct at 702-948-8100 prior to March 26, 2008. Please identify yourself as being with the Oral Board Review Course. When the PaACEP room block is full, there is no guarantee that this rate will be extended, so we recommend making your reservation early.
Airport Shuttle Information:

ARRIVAL
 - Upon your arrival, go to the baggage claim area and retrieve luggage.
 - Use the shuttle phone, located between the two main baggage carousel areas.  Phone bank says “Hotel/Motel & Rent-a-Car Reservations”.

Dial the number indicated for the Hampton Inn Tropicana (#53).
 -
Our operator will advise the guest on how to get to Zero Level to wait for the shuttle, and also the estimated amount of time for the next shuttle arrival.

DEPARTURE:

Hotel shuttles depart to the airport regularly on the half-hour during peak hours.

Overnight, shuttle is available on demand. Please speak to the front desk to request the airport shuttle.

 

Schedule:

Each day of the course begins with an in-depth orientation and video simulation from 7:30 am-9:00 am, followed by one-on-one patient simulated encounters from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Individual schedules will vary, therefore PaACEP provides continuous visual stimuli throughout the day to augment the course. Breaks will be scheduled throughout the day, and lunch is included with your registration fee.

Registration and Cancellation

Due to limited course size and high demand, it is recommended that you register early. Registrations will not be accepted without full payment. If the course is full or waitlisted you will be notified immediately. Please do not make any travel arrangements until you have received confirmation of your registration from PaACEP. Due to the student/faculty ratio, refunds for cancellations will be authorized only if a replacement registrant can be found. A $50 administrative fee will be charged on all cancelled registrations. No refunds will be made after the start of the course. In the unusual circumstance that this course is canceled, tuition will be refunded in full.
